A solar sail, also called solar protection sail, is a cloth, which is especially hard wearing and stable. In most cases this cloth is manufactured from acrylic or PVC cover fabric. The fixture of such a solar sail can take place via hooks, which are worked into the edges of the fabric. Consequently, the solar sail can for instance be fixed respectively moored on the ground, at special poles or on the house walls.
